TELSTRA CEPU VICTORIAN MEMBERS

MORE STRIKE ACTION NOTIFIED

The CEPU has notified Telstra of national strike action for CEPU members in Network Construction. Action is being taken throughout Australia.

Members are therefore advised that Network Construction CEPU members will stop for:

24 hours Wednesday 24 February 2010
24 hours Thursday 25 February 2010
24 hours Friday 26 February 2010

These stoppages are legal, protected action.

Any member that has an RDO programmed on any of the days of action will proceed with the RDO as planned.

OT & RECALL/START OF DAY

Overtime bans and recall bans continue to apply on a daily basis - further notices regarding these bans and stoppages for the upcoming days have been forwarded to Telstra. These bans are legal, protected action.

As a further reminder, the ban relating to unpaid overtime continues to apply to the unpaid "log on" prior to normal start time

Any problems with these bans should be notified to the branch office.

NEXT GENERATION OPERATIONS (NGO) STRIKE ACTION

In addition CEPU has notified Telstra of strike action impacting on CEPU members in Next Generation Operations (NGO).

Members are therefore advised that NGO CEPU members will stop for:

24 hours Wednesday 24 February 2010
24 hours Thursday 25 February 2010
24 hours Friday 26 February 2010

These stoppages are legal, protected industrial action.

ANY MEMBER FACING DIFFICULTIES ARISING FROM THE ACTION, FINANCIAL OR OTHERWISE SHOULD CONTACT THE BRANCH

Members who are not involved in the key area action, should donate to the CEPU Member Welfare Fund to help sustain those members who are out on strike for extended periods in the key areas.
