MEMBERS EBA CONFERENCE – LAST CHANCE!

The conference for members to consider the EBA campaign in Telstra is next Saturday. BOOK IN NOW!

The conference is from 9.30 am to 4 pm on SATURDAY 30th JANUARY 2010 and will be held at the main CEPU office, 1st floor, 139 Queensberry Street, Carlton South.

The telephone hookup for those that can’t make the conference is from 10 am till about 11 – 11.30 am on the day.

Please notify us by return email, telephone or SMS of:

*         Your attendance at the conference (for catering purposes etc) or

*         Your participation on the telephone hookup and the telephone number you wish to be called on. (Use a landline where possible as some mobile plans incur charges.) Participants will have a chance to ask questions and put views.

*         Presentation on Corporate Campaigning/Telstra Union Busting 101 Defeating the Corporate     Agenda  by Val Butler, organiser for the Victorian P&T Branch.

*         Questions and discussion with those on the telephone being given priority initially

*         Consideration of the options facing the union

*         Future issues for consideration

 

INDUSTRIAL ACTION REMINDER

All members are directed to continue to apply the overtime (paid or unpaid) and recall bans until further notice. If there are difficulties with applying these bans then members should contact the Branch to discuss the situation if you have not already done so.

No "life and limb" work should be undertaken until it is cleared with the Branch officials.

The overtime bans clearly include no unpaid overtime. That includes no logging on prior to your normal start time, particularly for those members in Service Delivery who are dispatched via CONNECT.

Stoppage action is continuing in selected areas. Members acting only after a directive from the Branch in key areas.

Contact the branch officials as necessary.

WELFARE FUND

Members who are not involved in the key area action, should donate to the CEPU Member Welfare Fund to help sustain those members who are out on strike for extended periods in the key areas.
