Membership Conference, Industrial Action Reminder
MORE ON THE IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP CONFERENCE
The EBA in Telstra, and The Future.
New Decade, New Ideas, New EBA Required.
As previously notified the CEPU is organising an urgent, important conference of members to discuss the current union EBA campaign in Telstra and future activities.
The conference will be on Saturday 30th January from 9.30am to 4pm. It will take place in the union headquarters, 1st floor, 139 Queensberry Street, Carlton South.
Obviously, it is important for all interested members to attend to exchange views about the EBA campaign and to decide on future activities.
In order to make it easier for more members to be involved, the first hour or so of the conference will be accessible via telephone conference, and we will organise it so that there will be at least some value for members who can only remain for the period of the telephone conference.
Please mark this date down in your diary to help make sure you don’t miss the conference.
An agenda and more information including registration details will be circulated shortly for members’ information.
INDUSTRIAL ACTION REMINDER
All members are directed to continue to apply the overtime (paid or unpaid) and recall bans until further notice. If there are difficulties with applying these bans then members should contact the Branch to discuss the situation if you have not already done so.
No "life and limb" work should be undertaken until it is cleared with the Branch officials.
The overtime bans clearly include no unpaid overtime. That includes no logging on prior to your normal start time, particularly for those members in Service Delivery who are dispatched via CONNECT.
The union has notified for "an indefinite stoppage" for all members every day until further notice. However, members should only take "indefinite stoppage" action following a written or verbal directive from the branch officials.
Contact the branch officials as necessary.
